Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. FFIE, -5.06% said Wednesday its planned flagship electric SUV, the FF 91, got a rating of 381 miles of range from the EPA. The rating is a “significant increase” from the company’s previous estimates, Faraday said. Completing the certification was “a huge step in getting this car in the hands of our users,” Faraday Chief Executive Carsten Breitfeld said in a statement. Faraday Future has announced delays for the planned EV as it has sought to raise money to operate through the end of the year, and in August said that PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP has notified the EV startup that it will not stand for re-election as the company’s independent accounting and, and effective immediately, it is no longer the company’s independent registered public accounting firm. Shares of Faraday Future have lost 85% so far this year, compared with losses of around 19% for the S&P 500 index. SPX, -1.21%
