Question 1

What is Brokers Watch?

Accepted Answer

Brokers Watch is an independent directory of brokers, exchanges, banks, and financial firms. Every profile aggregates regulator data, user reviews, complaints, and public disclosures into a single trust score so traders can compare firms objectively.

Question 2

How is the trust score calculated?

Accepted Answer

The trust score is a composite of five weighted signals: regulatory strength (tier and jurisdiction), complaint volume and resolution rate, user review sentiment, transparency of published information (fees, ownership, licenses), and operational track record. Scores refresh continuously as new data lands.

Question 3

How do you verify regulatory licenses?

Accepted Answer

Licenses are cross-checked against public regulator registers (FCA, CySEC, ASIC, SEC, FINRA and dozens more). When a broker claims a license, we match the entity name and reference number against the regulator’s official database. Unverified claims are flagged.

Question 4

Can brokers pay to change their rating?

Accepted Answer

No. Ratings are derived from public data and user reviews. Brokers can claim their profile and purchase visibility boosts (badges, featured placement), but boosts never change the underlying trust score, review scores, or complaint history.

Question 5

How do complaints and dispute resolution work?

Accepted Answer

Any user can file a complaint against a listed firm. The firm’s verified representative is invited to respond via the Company Portal. Cases go through structured mediation with public status updates; unresolved verdicts remain on the firm’s profile.

Question 6

Can I trust user reviews on the site?

Accepted Answer

Reviews from verified customers (users who upload proof of a live account) receive a verification badge. All reviews are moderated for spam, personal data, and defamation. Firms can respond publicly to any review.

Question 7

How do I report a scam or cloned broker?

Accepted Answer

Use the “Report” action on any profile, or file a complaint. Our AI scam checker also monitors incoming URLs for cloned websites, phishing domains, and unlicensed operators.

Question 8

Do you offer trading advice or accept commissions from brokers?

Accepted Answer

Brokers Watch does not provide investment advice. We may earn revenue from advertisements and profile boosts, but editorial content, ratings, and complaint verdicts are independent from commercial relationships.

Question 9

How can I add my company to the directory?

Accepted Answer

Any regulated financial firm can request a listing through the Company Portal. Once verified against public registers, an admin approves the profile and grants access to your company representative.

Question 10

Where does your data come from?

Accepted Answer

Data is sourced from official regulator registers, public disciplinary actions, company filings, news feeds, and user-contributed reviews and complaints. Every claim on a profile links back to its source where possible.
