3M Co. MMM, +0.89% said Thursday that it remains “committed” to making sure that everyone how needs an N95 face mask can get one. The consumer, health care and building products company is the market maker of N95 masks in the U.S., with manufacturing plants in South Dakota and Nebraska. “3M’s N95 respirators are [National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health]-approved and filter out at least 95% of airborne particles, including those that may contain viruses,” said Raymond Eby, president of 3M’s personal safety division. 3M’s stock rose 0.8% in afternoon trading. It has gained 2.1% over the past three months, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -0.49% has tacked on 5.8%.
