The U.S. is temporarily closing its embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine, and relocating operations to the western city of Lviv, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement. “We are in the process of temporarily relocating our embassy operations in Ukraine from our embassy in Kyiv to Lviv due to the dramatic acceleration in the buildup of Russian forces,” Blinken said. U.S. stocks DJIA, -0.49% began the week lower on Monday as investors kept watch on tensions around Ukraine and continued to worry over the speed and scope of expected rate hikes by the Federal Reserve.
