U.S. stocks finished sharply higher on Friday, clinching their longest streak of weekly gains since November, as investors celebrated a spate of optimistic inflation data. The S&P 500 gained 72.88 points, or 1.7%, to 4,280.15. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 424.38 points, or 1.3%, to 33,761.05. The Nasdaq Composite gained 267.27 points, or 2.1%, to 13,047.19. Both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq were higher for a fourth consecutive week, and both also recorded their largest streak of gains during a four-week period since April 2020. The Dow finished higher for a third week out of four.
