Biden’s ‘thoughts are with’ Queen Elizabeth II as her health causes concerns, White House says

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Thursday said President Joe Biden has been briefed and will be updated throughout the day on the concerning news out of the U.K. about Queen Elizabeth II’s health. The remarks from the Biden administration spokeswoman come as Buckingham Palace said doctors are concerned about the British monarch’s health, and members of her family traveled to be with her in Scotland. “His and the first lady’s thoughts are with the queen and her family today,” Jean-Pierre said. “The president also conveyed to Prime Minister Truss during a previously scheduled video conference this morning that he and Dr. Biden are thinking of the queen, her family and the people of the United Kingdom.”
