BJ’s Wholesale Club BJ, -0.93% said Friday it will accept SNAP EBT cards at all of its clubs and outlets across the U.S. SNAP, or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, is the government’s food stamp program, while EBT stands for Electronic Benefits Transfer. The payments can also be used at BJs.com and for shopping options such as pickup, shipping and same-day delivery. BJs shares were not yet active premarket but have gained 14% in the year to date, while the S&P 500 SPX, -1.13% has fallen 18%.
