Shares of Blue Apron Holdings Inc. APRN, -0.42% surged 11.0% in premarket trading Tuesday, after the company said its meal kits were not available for purchase through Amazon.com Inc. AMZN, -1.78% in the U.S., without a subscription. Blue Apron is offering its regular selection of meal kits, including its Ready to Cook, Family Recipes and Heat & Eat offerings, and will also make its special-occasion, holiday-themed options available in the U.S. Amazon store. “By offering a selection of products in the U.S. Amazon store, we are able to provide Amazon customers the opportunity to buy a range of chef-curated meals that will arrive quickly to their door,” said Blue Apron Chief Product Officer Josh Friedman. Blue Apron’s stock, which had plunged 59.2% amid a six-session losing streak through Monday, has tumbled 41.6% over the past three months, while the S&P 500 SPX, -0.80% has slipped 6.3%.
