British pound little moved after death of Queen Elizabeth II

The British pound showed little movement Thursday after the death of Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 96. The pound GBPUSD, +0.73% traded at $1.1508 versus the U.S. dollar, down 0.2% on the day. The 96-year old monarch, who ruled the UK for 70 years, died peacefully at Balmoral Castle, according to an announcement by Buckingham Palace.
