Elon Musk issues subpoena to Jack Dorsey amid Twitter acquisition battle

Tesla Inc. TSLA, -2.28% Chief Executive Elon Musk’s lawyers issued a subpoena to Twitter Inc.’s TWTWR former chief executive Jack Dorsey related to the ongoing Twitter acquisition saga. Twitter has sued Musk as the company looks to force him to go through with his $44 billion deal for the social-media company. Musk in April agreed to buy Twitter but said in July that he was terminating the deal due to his concerns over bot activity on Twitter and the accuracy of Twitter’s public disclosures about the prevalence of bot accounts. Dorsey co-founded Twitter but stepped down from the CEO post in November 2021.
