euro yen rally as dollar retreats from 20 year high

The U.S. dollar was slumping against its major counterparts on Friday morning. The euro EURUSD, +0.48% was fetching $1.0091, up from $0.9999 on Thursday, and the dollar USDJPY, -1.06% was trading at 142.15 yen, down from 144.11 yen. The British pound GBPUSD, +0.73% also was climbing. The U.S. dollar index DXY, -0.67% on Wednesday had reached a 20-year high.
