KKR & Co. Inc. KKR, -0.28% shares fell 4% in premarket trades on Tuesday after the private equity firm said its fourth-quarter profit fell to $507.56 million, or 82 cents a share, from $1.48 billion, or $2.46 a share, in the year-ago quarter. Adjusted profit was $1.59 a share. Analysts expected KKR to earn $1.21 a share on revenue of $2.05 billion, according to a survey by FactSet. Revenue, meanwhile, doubled to $4.05 billion from $2.01 billion. Expenses nearly tripled to $3.15 billion from $1.18 billion, while total investment income declined to $122.3 million from just under $4 billion. Net income for full year 2021 more than doubled to $4.56 billion from $1.95 billion. The firm ended the year with $471 billion of assets under management, up 87% over the year-ago period.
