Shares of NCR Corp. NCR, +4.34% shot up 4.6% in afternoon trading Tuesday, after the provider of technology that helps run stores, restaurants and self-directed banking said it has suspended sales of all of its products in Russia in the wake of the country’s invasion of Ukraine. The stock had slumped 14.2% since the invasion started through Monday’s close, which was a one-year low. NCR said revenue in Russia and Ukraine combined represent about 1% of total revenue, which was $7.16 billion in 2021. “We condemn this unjustified invasion and call for an immediate and peaceful resolution to this humanitarian crisis,” NCR said in a statement. “As a company, we are committed to the safety of our employees in Ukraine and are in constant contact with our teams to offer support in many forms, including to those in Ukraine who need to evacuate or choose to stay and protect their country from this aggression.” NCR shares have tumbled 18.7% over the past three months while the S&P 500 SPX, -0.72% has shed 10.8%.
