Newsletter: The IDD Directive introduces the new category of ancillary insurance intermediaries

The European Insurance Distribution Directive, known as the IDD, has been transposed into Belgian law.

The FSMA recently published a Newsletter covering the most important changes to the conditions for exercising the profession of insurance intermediary.

In addition to the existing categories of broker, agent and subagent, the law transposing the IDD introduces a new category of insurance intermediaries: the ancillary insurance intermediary.
