McCormick & Co. MKC, -1.45% announced Friday that it is suspending operations in Russia, joining the many companies to do so following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The spice maker said it would contribute to the Polish Center for International Aid and the World Central Kitchen to support humanitarians efforts for Ukraine. “McCormick hopes for an immediate end to the conflict in Ukraine and the suffering of innocent people, the Hunt Valley, Md.-based company said in a statement. “The Company will continue to monitor and assess the situation as circumstances evolve.” Shares were down 2% premarket, but have gained 14% in the last 12 months, while the S&P 500 SPX, -1.30% has gained 8%.
