Stocks opened higher Tuesday, attempting to bounce a day after a selloff took the S&P 500 to its lowest close since March 31, 2021. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.20% jumped 481 points, or 1.5%, after rising more than 500 points in the opening minutes. The S&P 500 SPX, +0.39% jumped 1.9% to 4,066, while the Nasdaq Composite COMP, +0.65% advanced 2.6% to 11,925.
