Oil futures declined for a second straight session on Thursday, with prices giving up earlier gains in volatile trading against a backdrop of changing headlines on the Russia-Ukraine war. West Texas Intermediate crude for April delivery CLJ22, -2.28% fell $2.68, or 2.5%, to settle at $106.02 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, after losing just over 12% on Wednesday. The settlement was the lowest for a front-month contract since March 1, according to Dow Jones Market Data.
