U.S stocks opened mixed Wednesday, as Treasury yields fell and investors weighed the Bank of England’s surprise announcement that it’s buying bonds to help restore orderly market conditions. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.84% was up 0.2% soon after the opening bell, while the S&P 500 SPX, +0.92% gained 0.1% and the Nasdaq Composite COMP, +0.80% edged down 0.1%, according to FactSet data, at last check. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note was trading about 15 basis points lower at around 3.82%, while the two-year Treasury yield fell about 18 basis points to around 4.13%, FactSet data show, at last check.
