Wendy's is putting chicken on the breakfast menu with the new Hot Honey Chicken Biscuit

Wendy’s Co. WEN, -0.78% has added a couple of chicken options to its menu: the Hot Honey Chicken Biscuit, which marks the first breakfast addition since that menu was introduced in 2020, and the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, which is available for the rest of the day. The launches tap into the hot honey and spicy trends, according to John Li, Wendy’s vice president of culinary innovation, who hosted a call with reporters about the launch. Both are made with white-meat chicken breast. The Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich also includes Pepper Jack cheese, Applewood smoked bacon and pickle chips that have been dusted with seasonings and fried. Wendy’s launched a fresh take on French fries in August 2020. Wendy’s is scheduled to report fourth-quarter earnings on March 1, according to a FactSet calendar. Wendy’s stock has run up 11.3% over the last year while the S&P 500 index SPX, +0.89% is up 19.6%.
